Hello i've two questions:
1)free type support work correctly in php 4.0.6?
2)What i can do to support gif images?

Answer to Q2:
PDFlib supports gif images. For this, you will need to use --with-pdflib (see that particular section of the manual for more details).

If you have trouble installing PDFlib on solaris, I can probably help.
