I wish someone friendly out there would help me out. I found a program that I'm willing to purchase that is written in php/mysql. They have a demo version to see if you can get it to run - but they offer no help what-so-ever.
The tech at hispeed.com told me that I had to purchase php/mysql for my account - so I did. For the last 3 weeks I still don't have this thing working. No one there knows anything about php (yet they were eager to bill me for it!) I'm not sure that it's even set up properly on my account. They have a webbase mysql form. When I type in a new name to create a database I get an Access Denied - which I believe is a problem on their end. My support question keeps getting bounced around.
I was told that all the php files go into a php directory - yet there was no php directory on my account. I was told that you just create a directory and call it php - which didn't sound correct to me. So I created a directory and called it php and uploaded my files, after changing server names in the files.
When I run the demo program I get a Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/www/htdocs/........" Which leaves me lost because the support people absolutely have no clue on what's going on. I do not know if this is an error on my part or this error is a result of the "access denied" error which I questioned earlier.
I'm running out of time and money. This will be the forth weekend that I'm down. I really could use someone's help. I will give you my password to my account and let you look at it. I just know it's very simple problem. I'm leaning more to that it's a problem on hispeed.com end - but I have no idea.
