Okay, here's the scoop:
I've installed RedHat Linux 7.0 and I've since discovered that the reason I was unable to login to X was because my video card, an ATI Radeon
32MB PCI, was not supported in the version of XFree86 that came with 7.0.
That's all fine and good, but that basically leaves me unable to upgrade to the new XFree86 because I can't get into Linux at all (other than
command line) and therefore can't connect to the 'net through Linux and download the new RPM packages. Sure, I could do it through Windows
but the upgrade packages would be useless in Windows and my Linux partition couldn't access them.
What can I do?
