About the apache,mysql,php

After I install the redhat linux 7.1,
I use browse to read the file:
/var/www/html/phpinfo.php
I see the configure coloum is ....--without-mysql...
The mysql rpm package and the php-mysql package had been installed.
I want the php support mysql(--with-mysql), what should I do then?

In my opinion the best way to get php and apache work is downloading the source and compiling them both. You said you already have mysql installed, then you should go to http://httpd.apache.org and http://www.php.net to download the sources, compile them, and start feeling the magic of php.

I just installed PHP4.0.6 in RH7.1, don't use the RPM for PHP, use source, compile it with the --with-mysql --with-apxs switches and you should be good to go. (you will need to read the INSTALL page for the instructions to get apache working with it)
