Hey Folks,
I don't want to start a holy war or anything, so this is just a question for people who may be able to share their personal first hand experience:
I am running Apache Stronghold on Sun Solaris 2.6 with php4 as a dso. I was recently told that I would get better performance out of my php4 if I built it using the sun compiler (forte c). Currently I use gcc for php, but the Stronghold was compiled with forte c.
Does anyone have experience with performance differences between the two compilers? If so please post a response and or email me.
