PHP pages showing as download files

I have PHP and Apache installed and everything istalled OK. The problem is that when I put in a URL for a php page the browser asks me if I want to download the file instead of showing me the php genterated page.

I have the AddType lines in my httd.conf file.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you compiled PHP as an
Apache module?

Did you copy php.ini-dist to the proper
location?

Does your httpd.conf file have an appro-
priate LoadModule line, e.g.,
LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so?

Did you restart the Apache server?

check and see taht this tweo lines is added in you httpd.conf ?
if still can not try to run it in different port and see

This happened to one of my pages after I stuck some ssi code in. Everything went back to normal after the ssi was removed.
