can any body help me to solve my pb ,so that i will be thankful to them..
for the past one week i was trying installing Oracle Rel 2(8.1.6) on linux 7.0
i have done all the priviliges, pre installations as well others works .i.e. in between it asks us for to run some scripts..as root user..
every thing goes well ,
but at database creation using dbassist when it nears to 80% of completions.
on status bar it shows initalling database files..
i waited for more than 2 hours for it to complete..even though ..it states the same...
but when i come out of it start svrmgrl and log on it say error LRM:00109 &ORA-01078 failure in system parameters..
but i have tried using
svrmgrl>STARTUP pfile=$ORACLE_HOME/dbs/<ORACLE_SID>
it hangs.... i.e no responce .
i have tried even using complete path of pfile also ...still the same....
MY system configuration:
128 MB RAM.
chipset i810
20GB Hard Disk
I have given 2.25gb at /d1 mount point for oracle installation at root...
