Install sablotron on Mac OS X

Does anyone know of any information on how to install the sablotron extenstions to php for Mac OS X? I\'m pretty new to UNIX and can\'t seem to get the sources compiled and installed.

Never heard of salbatron. Go to macosx.com and search for PHP/MySQL and there are a couple of posts that will help with PGP/MySQL install.

Sablotron is an extension to PHP that performs XSL transformations of XSL. Check out http://www.gingerall.com for more info.

I try to compile sablotron on os x and get some troubles.
I successfully first compiled iconv 1.7.1 and expat 1.9.2.

For sablotron 0.9.0, this is what i get:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local

Result :
Warning for unsupporting widechar so xsl:sort instruction is not defined but impossible to run make after configuration. Error is ***make : no target : stop

The Makefile is empty

This is the last module i need to compile to activate full xml support in my php config and have not found any help on gingerall.com or anywhere else.

yeah, EMPTY all makefiles are the same.

I was able to partially repair this issue by manually editing the config.status file and re-running the configuration that way.

Then we can see that all the make files get filled...
however improperly.

this header file wchar.h should be available somewhere but I haven't gotten that far yet.

no reason the OS X cannot suport the wchar. just there is no standard header for it...

expat and XSLT install just fine now if I could get theme into PHP 4.2.1 with sablotron it would all seem very nice...

Make sure that you have automake/aclocal installed. I'd suggest just doing a 'fink install automake', if you're using Fink. That should take care of the empty Makefiles problem.
