ereg_replace the $a

I really have a problem with this, i can't find any resource, i want to replace $a with space in a string . $aCORE PHP programming :$busing PHP to build dynamic Web sites /$cLeon Atkinson $aAtkinson, Leon

I want to replace all $a,$b,$c with space, I tried using this code ereg_replace("$a","",$string); but it only return an error, becauase i think the script is looking or $a equal to something, and not as $a itself. if you find any link helpful to my problems please inform me, thanks, webmaster:polerio.f2s.com

If you escape the dollar sign characters in your string (ie. "\$a"), ereg_replace should work. At least I think so. 😉
