MS SQL Server

Hi There,

I got the php installer for the IIS from the php.net. I have tried out some of the sample php scripts. It does work. But how can u make it connect to MS SQL Server. When i try it give me an error saying that the 'connect function us not defined.'. Could anyone tell me how do you or rather what should u do to connect to MS SQL Server.

You have to un-comment the MS SQL dll line in your php.ini file.

Thnx François for writting in but sorry to say it did not work. instead it reported an error saying " unable to load dynamic library ./mssql.dll. " i have registered it on the machine. do u know another way out.

Sure dude, try what I left on php.net as user contrib. (process on installation under W2K/IIS)
And don't forget to paste this library into your winnt/system32/

Yes you right, they have deleted the users contrib 🙁

Well once again then :
-Stop IIS (net stop iisadmin)
-Uncomment the line regarding mssql in your php.ini
-copy the dll into the winnt/system32 directory
-copy msvcrt.dll and php4ts.dll into the same dir (don't overwrite if exists)
-restart IIS services
