Oracle 8.1.6 + FreeBSD 4.4 + PHP4?

Has anyone done this successfully? I've seen several posts on FreeBSD sites suggesting that it can't be done because of a JRE incompatibility in the installer, but I haven't given up hope. I'd settle for just installing the client libraries if I could make that work, and accessing the db remotely from a Linux box.

Any suggestions?

I'm trying to do the same thing on Red Hat Linux 7.1. There's lots of Half-way information out there. My post asks the similar question but with RH 7.1. I'll let you know if I find anything out!
