Empower 2001 - anyone using it?

i have downloaded and instaled the Empower 2001 software.

It is supposd to allow a website owner to change content on their web pages through a browser window.

i have it set up properly, i log in and then am able to browse through my directories, but it doesnt show any of the pages i have put the EMPOWER code into.

has anyone used this program, or suggest a different client content manager program??

they do not offer or even have any info on their site.

I use Empower and it works perfectly for me. Double check that you have put the empower code at the top and bottom of every page you want to modify.

so it goes at the top and bottom of the page?

in the directions, it makes it sound like you are supposed to put at the begining and end of the code you want to be able to change.

nope,

i have tried it at top and bottom:

-before and after the HTML tags,
-just after and before the HTML tags.
-just before and after the text i want to be able to edit.

does the page have to be named something special?

Are you sure your server is running php 4 and not 3?

thanks for the reply, but i have gotten it to work, not as it says but it does work.

i have to add the tags at the very top and very bottom in order itget it to work.

i though it was supposed to be able to let me add the tags just before the text and just aafter the text so only that could be edited.

I have been using both versions of Empower for a while now and have noticed a few "quirks".

You don't have to put tags at top and bottom of page but you do have to make sure there are no spaces or tabs to the left of the empower tags. Tags should be flush left.

I usually open my documents with Edit Pad or some other text editor and remove all left spaces before the tags and it works perfectly!
