Windows Mysql ..!!

Hi All,
iam trying to install and configure a mysql server on my device ..
iam using Windows98 with PWS ( Personal Web Serve ) running on it .. .
i have installed the PHP by an exe programm, which i have downloaded from Internet it's name : phptriadsetup2-11.exe

Now iam asking if there is any one can help me to advice me about the best and easy way to install and use Mysql server on my device ..

answer: Dont use personal web server, Download and install the win32's for APACHE.

and it needs a big work to set variables and ... and ... etc..?

Try phphome.sourceforge.net where you can try INSTALL or download complete package for PHP developing called PHP Home - Apache,MYSQL and PHP + add. libraries compiled together with fine install system.

Better yet, go to http://www.nusphere.com and look for the freebies download section and download the nusphere package. Easy install for PHP, Apache, MySQL and PERL.

Ye, second chance, but nusphere package has 50 MB, php home only 20 MB and it support incremental downloading (maybe nusphere too), so amount of data depend what do you want to install 🙂

Don't know. Perl has only 8 MB and that's only difference which I can see... But PHP Home contain also service packs for Win95 like Winsock 2 and phpMyAdmin and some doc. So? I hardly try to make installation as small as possible. In few days will be secondary download server avalaible.
