Windows 2000 + mysql

Hi,

I've made a program that has to run on a win2k machine.
I use the phpdev4 package from firepages.com.au, with the apache, mysql, php4 and mysql front.

I installed the package on the windows 2k machine and go to localhost. And it works fine, but when i go to my program, it can't connect to the database..... it gives a 10061 error or something (can't connect to the database blah blah..)

I know this is a common problem, but I can't find any solutions to it..

Is there a way to make my mysql database work, if you know a way, please tell me STEP BY STEP what to do, since i've never really worked with windows 2000 😛
