I would like to set some configuration for mysql. Someone told me that the name of this file is my.cfg. but I cannot find it, please give me a helping hand, thanks.

The name of the file is actually my.cnf. A sample should be in your MySQL installation directory under the name my-exapmple.cnf. You can also save it as my.ini (at least on 'Doze). HTH.
