Problem install PHP-4.0.6

So !

When i try to install the PHP-4.0.6 i obtain the following error : I'm use the commande ./configure to create the makefile file before compiling.

checking for flex... lex
checking for yywrap in -ll... no
checking lex output file root... ./configure: lex: command not found
configure: error: cannot find output from lex; giving up

If somebody have an idea, and an answer for my problem.

You must install Apache before PHP.

I already do this. First time, i've install Apache with using the redhat installation serveur. The rpm apache is install. When i check the rpm installed, i dont see MySQL. And i try to understand how to install the sources code in a basic linux installation.

The Pb is : I dont know what package must be install exactly. And when i use the source code there are some pb with link libraries.
