install problems using informix/apache

I am trying to run the configure script.
First all is looking fine, but then i get the following message :

Info+Req/PMBI Status/IO_Stat/MADDlog/ADDRESS/HPA/Other ? >

This message appears millions of times, until the script is being stopped

I am using the following configure command :

./configure --with-informix=yes --with-apache=/opt/apache --enable-track-vars

What is going wrong with this ?
I am using php 4.06 with Informix 7.31 on a HP/UX 11.00 system.

Hmmmm. Never seen that message before. However, here's a couple things to do.

1) Make sure you have INFORMIXDIR set and have $INFORMIXDIR/bin in your PATH.

2) The correct way to configure with Informix is "--with-informix=$INFORMIXDIR" or explicitly state the path to the Informix directory. Regardless, you still need Informix's bin directory in your PATH.

I´ve controlled the environment, here is what i´ve got :

export INFORMIXDIR=/informix/XP9
export PATH=$PATH:/informix/XP9/bin
cd /opt/php-4.0.6
./configure --with-informix=$INFORMIXDIR --with-apache=/opt/apache-1.3.12 --enable-track-vars

...

The informix environment is correct, perhaps there are other prerequesites for php ???
This Flex message sounds strange ...

Hi everybody,

now I`ve got it. On my machine there is a tool named flex being installed, which is a support tool for HP CEs. I renamed the files and installed bison and flex tools, after that I was able to run the configure script.
The original ( HP ) flex is a tool delivering a prompt, which causes the strange output I reported yesterday.
