I install FreeBSD4.4-release and apche, mysql, perl5, webmin, wu-ftp, cvs and everything works great.
Made the install of mod_php4 from the ports and after some serious issues with png (wouldn't install, finaly got it working), i got the php mod to install cleanly. i ran the test against it and most pass (only a cpl of the db's don't - I'll worry bout that later).
Followed the INSTALL instruction to a tee and have rerun the configure with a ton of different option to try to get it to work correctly and no matter what I do I CANNNOT get the shared lib to install anywhere on the damned box.
What am I doing wrong?????? Beena week now and I'm losing more hair than I care to admit.
