.php files only load once

I installed PHP 4.0.6 yesterday on IIS 5.1 (Windows XP) and from what I can see its all set up properly.
I am trying to use the ISAPI module rather than the binary version
I got my version of PHP from http://www.php.net/

My problem is that I can only access one page and I can only acess it once, after that the page just keeps trying to load until it times out... restarting IIS lets me load the page "once" again... I honestly have no idea what the problem might be

It might be a mistake I have made in php.ini but I'll be damned if I can see it anywhere

If anyone can help I would appreciate it

The last time I looked the ISAPI module was beta and not recommend for production (and not stable). Though that was 4.05. Try the php.exe and see if you get the same problem.
