truetype still not working

I have trawled the lists and discovered that several folk still experience difficulty with truetype fonts.

Along the way I discovered all manner of good stuff, moved up to gd-2.0.1, php-4.0.7 and freetype2.

my libgd now works just fine with freetype
(watch your build or an old libgd.a will trip you up - make libgd.a gets you a new one ;-)

configure php finds the TTF in gd

php builds without reporting difficulty

libphp still ends up without TTF

am i missing some small piece of magic??

--enable-gd-native-ttf or --enable-gd-native-tt if the first doens't work...

Ta for the tip but I had already tried --enable-gd-native-ttf

--enable-gd-native-tt does not appear to be recognised by configure but results in an identical binary to configure either with or without --enable-gd-native-ttf

does ImageTtfText work for you, or anyone you know?

it is probably the nature of problems, but i hear of many cases where ttf doesn't work and nobody reporting that it does

is it time to report a bug?
