Session Errors, Please Help:

i've installed php on a new server and now i'm getting these session errors .. i created a "tmp" directory in my php folder, but i still get this:

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_02109adc595c1e69ba98d0c6617a81ab, O_RDWR) failed: m (2) in d:\inetpub\wwwroot\index.php on line 2

Warning: Session object destruction failed in d:\inetpub\wwwroot\index.php on line 4

hi,
open you php.ini in windows directory and change this
session.save_path = c:/winnt/temp
session.save_path = /tmp <- default, the cause of your problem

Or just create c:/tmp on your WIN box

You all are in a mistake. Read this about an error on PHP4 for win32:

There´s no apparent solution... but in Unix, where it works correctly.

The article you posted did NOT say it was impossible, only that you must use a folder that was real. I have found a workaround for this:

session_save_path('C:\winnt\temp');

If fixed everything on the Win2k server I was working on.

lol... When I first joined these forums and viewed the "Top 10 Posters" list, I nearly passed out when I saw how many posts "Anon" had. I quickly realized that it must have been some sort of default username for some sort of posts, or something, and now realize that it was anonymous uesrs... 😉
