Php with custom-odbc

I'm trying to set up php with custom-odbc to connect to a progress 9.x db, but haven't had much luck so far. Php is looking for a header file called "odbc.h". The progress drivers and header files are installed, but no odbc.h. The error that it is causing makes me thing that this header file defines ODBC statements. Does anyone know what this file is, and where I might be able to obtain a copy, since it isn't included with the progress header files?

you need php odbc support compiled in when you intall.

In most cases you are responsible for creating this file. What PHP is looking for is all the definitions and prototypes for the ODBC SQL (ex. SQLConnect, SQLExectute, etc) functions and constants. Your Progress ODBC driver probably shipped with some header files (maybe sql.h and sqlext.h ?). You basically just need to create a new odbc.h file that #includes the header files that shipped with your Progress driver and contain those definitions.

i ran into this same problem
i created the odbc.h file
but when i run a test page for progress connection
i get the following error
Warning: SQL error: [MERANT][ODBC 20101 driver]1201, SQL state 60 in SQLConnect in /www/htdocs/progress.php on line 4
Connection = Not Connected
