I installed RedHat 7.2 Professional at home.
As part of the installation, I chose to install Apache, PostGreSQL and PHP...
Apache is working fine, although the RedHat installation doesn't automatically start the webserver, as most other operating systems do...
I can view normal webpages just fine, but I cannot view or execute any PHP files...
httpd.conf lists the php, php3 and php4 modules...
httpd.conf lists the php, php3 and php4 extensions as executable...
However, in creating a PHP test file, I can NOT get it to display... All I see is the plain text that I typed into the .php file...
I've tried the .php and .php4 file extensions...
I tried inserting the php test code by itself, and between tags...
I still only see the raw text...
I stopped and restarted the webserver after making all changes... (Which should NOT have been necessary, as I made no configuration changes to httpd.conf... I just did it to be safe... As a last resort...)
I verified, that PHP4 is an installed application... However, like Apache, it's possible that I need to "activate" it somehow...
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
TIA
