PHP local

Dear Forum

I have a little PHP script running on our website but I want to run this also
locally on my laptop because I have to give
demonstrations in the field with
no internet connection.

I have no experience with webservers and/or
php programming.

Please can point out a relative simple
way to achieve this ???

Depending on your laptop OS - you can install and run a web server and PHP on it.

If windows:

See the win32 binaries @:

I would recommend simply installing PWS (Personal Web Server) on your laptop and configuring PHP on that.

PWS should be included in your windows CD.

Unix:

Apache+php should be relatively painless to install.

Assuming you're on Windows, read this article. It orientated towards Win98, but the steps are the same for all Win32 OS's.
