How to install GD and othe required file

I am trying to install the GD component on Windows 2000 running IIS. I have downloaded and unzipped GD and found that I need some other components installed first (jpgsr6, lpng, zlib, true type fonts.)

I have downloaded all of the other components and unzipped them but I cannot figure out how to install the programs. It talks about the 'make file' and I see that and can open it in a text editor. But how do I initiate the installation process?

"make file" is something that you need to do when you run UNIX/Linux. It could be that you have downloaded the "wrong" package or it could be worse. The package you need doesn´t exist for windows. Search for the text "Installation of Windows extensions" in your install.txt file you got with your PHP package or browse the documentation. It´s a piece of cake when you find it ;-)
