Problems with curl & PHP

I recently upgraded PHP to version 4.1.2 & can\'t get apache to start.
When installing the new PHP, I also had to install a new version of cURL (7.9.3) and libxml(2.4.16).

Everything went smoothly until the apache restart. Now I get the following message:

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 261 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: curl_formadd

I\'m kind of a newbie to all of this, so if anyone could give me any help at all, I\'d greatly appreciate it.
