no one has configured php with oracle 9i

Hello !
No one in this universe has configured php with oracle 9i with apache on Red Hat Linux 7.2
I have installed oracle 9i db , php 4.1.2 and apache 1.3.20 on Red Hat 7.2 .

Every thing installed succesfully without any error or warning message .

But when i try to connect php with oracle i receive the follwoing error:

Warning: _oci_open_server: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name in /www/htdocs/first.php

Is there a problem with PHP that they have not updated the version of php for oracle or there is a problem from my site.

sounds to me like the database you are trying to connect to doesnt exist. Check your oracle tnsnames.ora file.

Also make sure you can connect to that same Oracle database schema with an oracle client, like sql+
