cannot load .php file

after i installed apache and php on my linux system (red hat 7.2)

i create test.php file to test it. but it cannot load .php file, just try to save the file instead.

and i create another file name it 1.html, this time the server loads the file.

I don't know what's wrong, I already setup the apache httpd.conf file and add .php and .phtml

but still not loading, any1 got a clue, please help me out.

You gotta add index.php after index.htm (or index.html) in your httpd.conf file. This for my red hat linux is located at

var/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

or was it usr instead of var?

oh well, you'll figure it out...
