IE5 won't run php pages?

Hi, a newbie here needs some quick help - i've installed the foxserv bundle, apache, php4, mysqladmin and the rest, managed to get connected up to the database i'm using and written some php code.

BUT.... when i go to open the document .php in IE, the browser tries to download the page instead of (presumably) sending the php to apache.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!
