Problems with mod_php.so

I've tried to install php 4 under RedHat 7.0, with apache, but i haven't got the mod_php.so.
I've compiled like the manual says with configure -apxs=path-to-apache, no errors occourred but it doesn't output to me the mod_php.
Any idea?

I'm pretty sure it's --with-apxs not --apxs. If that doesn't help, try this:
