Install mysql to the Linux?

Dear all,

My Linux server has apache and php originally, then I further install mysql to the server. When I open the webpage, I find that all mysql code using php command. cannot be run. Please advise which config files have to be set in order to run mysql smoothly. If not, please give me reply in detail how to solve this problem, thanks

When you install on Linux don't you have to manually start the mySQL server unless you do (whatever).
Go to mysql site and read install. I think it's all covered.

I look, though. What Linux?
