My head is bursting on this one. I have, after trial and error, got PHP and Mysql working on my home server
W2k +IIS5 +PHP4 + Mysql latest
My general purpose client is a Vaio laptop.
My IP scheme is a std 10. one
I have never got Mysql to work correctly from the Vaio, having to set it to skip-name-resolve to get on.
However, as i am on the move a lot, and have time to spare to work on developments, I would like install PHP, Mysql and PWS on the laptop, work out a scheme to copy data to the server and really work wherever I want
Given the limitation that I have Linux but know nothing about it, and ditto Apache, what do I have to do to get everything to work together?
I coule put everything on the laptop alone, but I also use other machines to work on this site, so prefer to have a network connected site too.
