Hi All,
Im having a bit of trouble upgrading a working php 4.0.6 server to 4.1.2 (I had already patched to 4.0.6-15 successfully once before).
I am running Apache 1.3.22 on a Redhat 7.2 machine.
I had to uninstall php and php-mysql to upgrade the version of curl I had running to 7.9.5-1 then I installed php-4.1.2-3.i386.rpm and php-mysql-4.1.2-3.i386.rpm and restarted httpd however this time when I try to connect to my mysql-3.23.41-1 database I get;
Fatal Error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in xxxx on line xxxx
However php is working as any pages I have that include php code but dont try to connect to my db are working fine.
I tried forcing the php install (so I didnt have to uninstall-install to install php 4.1.2) with rpm -Fvh --force php-4.1.2-3.i386.rpm but it still wouldnt install due to the dependacy with curl. Is this the right syntax for forcing rpm freshens.
Anyone know why this might be, if I uninstall the lot and reinstall 4.0.6 it all works fine again?
Thanks heaps in advance for your help!
