my xml extension not working

hi all,

i used to install from tarballs. now on a new server [Mandrake 8.2] i was trying RPM distros of Apache/PHP.

i installed expat(source), sablotron(source) and php-devel RPM and compiled xml, xmldom, xslt extensions (you know, that "phpize ./configure make make install" stuff...).

now, although with phpinfo() i get:

XML Namespace Support active
EXPAT Version expat_1.95.2

domxml
DOM/XML enabled
libxml Version 2.4.16
XPath Support enabled
XPointer Support enabled

xslt
XSLT support enabled

my xml scripts don't work and get things like:

"Call to undefined function: setattr()..."

can you help me?

"setattr" is an alias which may have become obsolete in favour or a better name.
