I downloaded the source for both. I compiled Apache 2.0.35 first without any noticeable problems. Then compiled PHP 4.1.2. Again, no noticeable problems.
However, when I went to start Apache with a LoadModule directive for PHP, I got a 'undefined symbol: ap_alarm'. I never got this when I used PHP 4.1.2 with Apache 1.3.19 (compiled PHP as a shared module).
Anyone got any ideas what's wrong? I compiled Apache 2.0.35 to use the worker MPM. Does that make a difference? What modules should I enable or disable?
What options should I enable/disable when compiling PHP?
Has anyone out there successfully gotten PHP 4.1.2 to work on Apache 2.0.35?
I'm using RedHat Linux 7.1
Any help I get will be greatly appreciated.
