PHP error in win 98 :: please help

when i try to access some php files in PWS
(Windows 98) i am getting the following error ...

HTTP Error 403
403.1 Forbidden: Execute Access Forbidden

This error can be caused if you try to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

Please contact the Web server's administrator if the problem persists.

Well, being somewhat of a PHP novice and messin' with it on Win98 myself, I believe I understand the problem you're having there.

Right click on the folder that you have web sharing enabled on specifically the one you wish to run PHP scripts in. under properties > web settings you'll have your alias name in a list box. highlight it, click Edit properties, and under access there's a checkbox for Execute permission. Check it.
