IIS 5.1 versus PWS

I moved from win 98 2nd edition to win XP professional. I need to develop web applications on my local pc, so I used PWS and it worked fine. With xp pro I must use IIS 5.1 and it has 2 problems:

1 - it 'hangs' on some links and/or ASP redirect commands. I can't figure out the pattern, but it is always the same ones.

2 - I can't update my Access database -- I get the "must use an updatable query" error. And no matter what I change in IIS it doesn't correct it.

Anybody familiar with these problems?

Um, go get Apache 2.0 or 1.3 man, and use perl, or php, use php, then come back.
