I'm trying to access an Informix OnLine database that is running on an external server, using Apache and PHP. Somehow I can't get it to work: I installed the Informix Client SDK (which contains E/SQL), but Apache doesn't like the new config.
Anyone got experience with this? Do I need to run an Informix server on the host running Apache with PHP, or is installing just the Client SDK enough? The host from which I need to access the database is running SuSe 7.3; I tried almost every trick in the book. Please advice...
