Blank Querystrings

I installed Apache 1.13.2x and PHP4.2.x on Win2k and for some reason phpinfo() reads in the query string but my scripts don't. They do on my Mdk8.2 install.

ie message.php?msg=hello

should echo out hello on the page, but nothing happens

Just wondering if anyone had some pointers that could help?

PHP4.2.x by default has the "register_globals" turn off! Try changing that value to "On" under your php.ini file; OR use $msg = $_GET['msg']; (Safely this way!)
