hey, I finally managed to compile php. 4.2.1 is the first php version that works with apache 2.0.35 on mandrake 8.2! with all previous version apache crashed on start, if the php module was loaded. but now it works. so everyone who has mandrake and apache 2, go ahead, and try it again, it should work this time. haven't tried apache 2.0.36 yet, but I think it should work either
