configure PHP4 and install PHP4

hi,
i'm install RedHat 7.0 in my pc (it already include apache web server, means it include apache in my pc s well) , when i finished to installing , the apache web server run is okay (but i cannot find the apache's directory), i need to install PHP4 and also dunno how to configure it with apache, pls.. i need this urgent!!

Apache should have been installed in its main directory I usually install it to the /usr directory e.g. /usr/local/

As for installing PHP it's pretty simple.

Try this: Unix Commands
(Step 1) ./configure --withapache=../apache_1.3.x --with-mysql --with-xml --enable-track-vars

(Step 2) make followed by depressing enter key
make install followed by depressing enter key

(Step 3) Configure the Apache daemon

(Step 4) Setup the php.ini file

yes, actually i already know how to install Apache,PHP4,Mysql in Linux platform together, but the important things is now my client site's PC directly install Linux with Apache(means Linux already include Apache web server oreli), and it can start apache web server also, but i cant find the apache's directory under "/usr/local" ,

means if i use this command
php4.0..XXX>./configure --with-apxs=???(i cant find apache's directory)

php4.0..XXX>./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-apache=???(i cant find apache's directory)

the Linux already have apache web server, so i can't install apache again.

pls help me again.

First of all download the source tarballs from apache.org and php.net.

Then follow the INSTALL instruction in the PHP tarball. If you do it it will work
