I'm creating an online newsletter that pulls article text out of a database and puts them all on a screen with a table of contents at the top of the page. All of the links point to anchors within the page. For some reason, when you click on the link, the page updates, but it doesn't go to the anchor.
I've heard about potential issues with putting anchors within tables (if this is true then I need a workaround). I also provide a parameter in the HTML link to indicate which row to pull out of the database (ie, the link is www.whatever.net/newsletter.php?date=200205) so the final link becomes
newsletter.php?date=200205#focus. Could that be the source of the problem?
