I'm running RH 7.2 with sendmail and php 4.1, and I can't send mail to external email address (ie address that are not users on my server) with a php script. I can send emails fine from a mail client so I'm not sure if the problem is with php, sendmail or even apache. I get no errors when I call the php mail() function but the emails are always returned with errors. The most common error is:

any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Also could someone tell me where my php.ini file may be located. I know the location of one but when I edit it nothing changes. Thanks in advance.
