Problem with apache 2.0.36 and PHP 4.2.0

I got it up-and-running, and it will display basic PHP put on a single page, but will not post data from a form to the same page, or to another page. It simply reloads the same page. Is there an entry in the configuration files that enables/disables this feature?

I was having a similar problem after installing 2.0.39 and 4.2.1 on win32... The POST method wouldn't work with some older PHP I was using. It would load the new page without any of the variables printed. Turned out that you now have to refer to the variable as $_REQUEST["variable"] (in the destination file) rather than just $variable... found that in the php.ini file comment section at the beginning.
