We have Mandrake 8.2 installed and are having difficulties getting the DOMXML functionality running.
Previously, when using Mankdrake 8.1, the DOMXML support was enabled with the Apache and PHP RPMs on the CD. Now, on 8.2, the domxml.so file is not installed by default.
I understand that we need to install the php-devel-4.1.2-1mdk.i586.rpm to have the source code for domxml.so - and this has been done. But for the life of me, we can not figure out how to compile the .so file. There is no apparent documentation on what needs to be done to compile any of the .so files in this RPM. We would appreciate it if anyone could advise on this.
Thanks in advance,
Joseph
