PHP not working??

I think everything is installed ok.
I have a file, phpinfo.php, located in htpdoc directory of apache. When I go to that file, from another computer, over the internet, the page shows: <? phpinfo() ?>.
The file contains only the line, <? phpinfo() ?>.
What is going on? I am supposed to get php information.

Looks like PHP is not installed on the server you have uploaded your script on. PHP is not installed correct.

Running on Apache?

There's a line in httpd.conf
that needs to be uncommented
(enabled) in order for the http daemon
to know to use the php mod to interpret
the pages with the php parser

Look for something like:

ApplicationType blahblahphp .php, .php3

Uncomment the line and restart Apache.
