MCRYPT

I have a postnuked site that needs a shopping cart. Currently there is only one system that can be used, but it requires MCRYPT.

For the life of me I cannot get MCRYPT to compile with php/mysql. I have found a couple how-to's on this forum but none seem to work for my system.

It seams that the default Apache/MySQL/PHP install on RedHat 7.3 is tough to do this on.

I desperatly need help and cannot find it.

System:

RedHat 7.3
Apache 1.3.23
PHP 4.1.2
MySQL 3.23.49
