How to Edit PHP?

As I said one thread before: I am a NewBie.
I want to learn PHP but dont know how. Which Program(s) do I need? Which are the best? What do I have to pay attention to?

Go to www.php.net , download, install and start.

Yeah, I've installed it yesterday. Thats because I am writing here.
I've installed the newest PHP, but there isn't any executable like an Editor for PHP.

Try PHPedit from phpedit.com , phpedit.com as an open source or from
Nusphere nusphere.com.

Are you working on a Window or a Linux platform ? be more specific :-)
