When I use the crypt function with a 2 char salt it fails completely. The request is logged as a normal request without errors.
If I give it a larger salt, or none at all, I get a normal result.
It seems to me that crypt fails when it tries to do DES.
Could it be that is miss sommething.
In my installation Apache runs in a chroot.
Apache 1.2.26
PHP 4.2.2
I hope that someone has a clou about what I'm talking.
