installation problems

Hi,

i have installed php using the PHP 4.2.2 installer package from the php.net downloads.

I have followed the instructions in the install.txt file
i have also installed apache and it is working fine.

When i run the script for phpinfo (), nothing happens, all i get is a blank screen.

Does anyone have an idea why that is and what to do in Lay mans terms?

in addition, at the end of the installation a alert box pops up and says that it has not been configured to run apache and read the install.txt file.
